It’s been an exciting couple of years at Transition Town Totnes, with new projects emerging and fresh energy given to existing ones. As such, our small team of staff and volunteers are stepping into a year of growth and action in 2024. We have so much to celebrate from 2023 that we look forward to expanding upon this year.
Here’s a snapshot of our projects:
Totnes is on the verge of some progressive activities that will unfold, and we look forward to being part of it. We’re working on a new series of ‘community resilience forums’ to explore, debate, and inspire on some of the most pressing topics of resilience. And two of our long-standing supporters are squirrelling away on a book that we hope to release next year in 2025 to celebrate 20 years of Transition Town Totnes. It will share the stories and wisdom of our community activism. Stay tuned for updates on these.
We are currently running a survey looking to gather feedback on our work to influence our actions over the coming years. If you are, or have been engaged in our work in some way, your voice is valuable to us. Please take some time when possible to give us your thoughts here: SURVEY. We look forward to hearing from you.
If you are interested in volunteering with an existing project or thinking of starting your own and would like some advice and support, please email info@transitiontown.org
We’ll say goodbye to 2023 and hello2024 with this famous quote from Margaret Mead that truly resonates with our small grassroots charity and its vision:
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed individuals can change the world. In fact, it's the only thing that ever has."
