Want to learn more about reducing your energy costs and waste or how to access renewable energy technology? Join us on November 11th at Totnes Civic Hall, from 12-5pm for the EnergyWise Show. Thanks to Totnes Town Council for helping to fund this event, you can explore ways to cut energy costs, reduce energy use and make long-term changes to minimise your carbon footprint.
With rising energy bills, a cost-of-living crisis, and a lack of national energy security, there’s never been a more pressing time to take matters into our own hands to reduce our energy consumption. You’ll hear from local energy projects in Totnes and south Devon who will be on hand to offer support and inspiration, as well as practical information from trained energy advisors.
We’ll be joined by Totnes Renewable Energy Society (TRESOC) who will speak about their work investing in hydro, wind and solar power projects and how toget involved in the Energy Local Totnes Clubs.
Various other local organisations and groups will be joining us too, offering household energy advice, retrofit advice, regional support schemes, carbon saving tips, and more.
There’ll be information and help with smart meters, advice on the installation of energy saving measures, providers of home visits, heating control advice, solar panel and heat pump installation, support applying for discounts grants or getting fair loans, insights about the changing and upgrading of our national energy system, plus the chance to share ideas and experiences with others.
See the schedule below for a complete list of the speakers and the time of their talk.
